Nottingham Afghan Foundation is in pursuit of a bigger place and needs your support and help.
We have put an offer on a place which in an ideal location for the community. A Masjid is not mainly a place of worship for Muslims but also acts as a community hub that brings people together for festivals such as Ramadan and Eid. It is also used as a place where people can gain knowledge, learn and practice their religion which helps them connect more with Allah and the Prophet (SAW).
This new centre will enable us to facilitate larger groups and also provide a facility for sisters. We will have space to hold education classes for kids and adults.
Building a mosque helps us spread our deen in this world and brings not only ourselves closer to Allah ﷻ but everyone who enters the mosque as well. The Prophet ﷺ has told us the reward for building a mosque, we should follow in his footsteps and build masjids for those in need. The prophet ﷺ mentioned, “When a human being dies, all one’s deeds cease, save three: a Sadaqah Jariyah, [religious] knowledge [one leaves behind] from which others benefit and a righteous child who prays for one.”
